I have been asked to write a byline article for my publicist, to help get my book Champion Mindset out to the public. So where do I begin? Should I begin with how and why I became a champion?

Yes, I had the help of my parents, which was a big part of my success; but that’s another story. What however, was the underlying factor that made me push through the threshold to achieve my dreams and make it to the top to become a Champion?

Well, I want to compare it to how we came to be. Like the whole beginning of life. The thousands of specimens that have to fight to be number one to connect, and make human life. A Champion must be in that same laser-light focus to reach a goal. Imagine that you’re at a marathon race and you want to be the number one winner―you want to win, and win very bad, real bad.

There are thousands of people competing against you. How do you stay the course? What makes you the one that will cross the line first? Your inner Champion. It’s the thoughts in your head. Yes, the thoughts in your head. What do you think? What do you think about? I hope to help you decide what types of thoughts you should think―to think like a Champion. (more…)

What makes a champion? Why is a champion extraordinary? How does someone become successful? What is the secret to competing at that level, much less win?

Some people quit just short of the finish line, only to wonder a week, a month, or years later, what would have happened had they stayed the course.

In Champion Mindset, follow the events that took place in my life and meet the people who walked with me during various stages of my victories and defeats. I could have quit so many times, but stubbornly refused. Even at my bleakest moments when winning seemed improbable, my unflagging commitment to finish the job led me to heights that surprised even me.

While defining a champion’s spirit is practically impossible, recognizing the champion moments in your life is what I want to equip and educate my readers with. It’s a deeper understanding of how a Champion Mindset works that can help you draw on those characteristics in your own lives―ultimately refusing to never give up your dreams.

Be your own Champion.

Live your dreams.

All of us at some point in time during our lives have events that happen to us which keep us from reaching our goals. Setbacks. Little ones to big, devastating ones.

Let’s address the little ones first. The day is filled with many of them. It’s how we handle them during the time they accrue that will either make them escalate into bigger issues or make them seem like a piece of dust on your shoulder to just flick away. It’s all about attitude. Your attitude.

How do you handle those times? Example: you got up late so you’re running late for your appointment, school, work, etc. Your body feels like crap. You’ve got a backache, your joints hurt. Now you end up in traffic. You spill your coffee down the front of your fresh clothes. The day just gets worse.

It seems like you can’t get a break, no matter which way you turn. At this point your concentration and production level is at an all-time low. So much for goals and dreams. All those little events build up after time―or do they. (more…)
